Indira Stewart is a journalist with nearly 20 years of experience across broadcast, radio, and digital media. Since joining TVNZ in 2020, she has become a trusted presence in New Zealand news, reporting on the issues that shape our nation. Currently a reporter for 1News, Indira specialises in in-depth storytelling on social, political, and cultural topics. She has also served as a Newsreader on TVNZ’s Breakfast and Midday bulletins, connecting daily with audiences across the country.
Her career has spanned both Aotearoa and Australia, including work with ABC Australia, giving her reporting a valuable international perspective. Indira’s dedication has been recognised with multiple honours, including finalist for Best Reporter at the Voyager Media Awards, runner-up for Best Investigation, and finalist at the New Zealand Radio Awards.
At Salt's Big Event, Petra Bagust will interview Indira about her career, her journey in journalism, and the role her faith has played in shaping both.
Andrew Hunt's career has spanned nearly 30 years and more than 25 countries. Born in New Zealand, he’s worked everywhere from Hollywood to the Middle East, creating films, television, commercials, and art that have won international acclaim.
Andrew wrote and directed the psychological thriller The Infernal Machine, starring Guy Pearce, Alice Eve, Jeremy Davies, and Alex Pettyfer. He’s also behind award-winning projects like The Accidental Activist, The Love Game, and the feature documentary Funny You Never Knew.
Along the way, he’s collaborated with household names such as Kristin Chenoweth, Fred Willard, Kevin Pollak, Marcia Gay Harden, Elizabeth Hurley, Julie Benz and Norman Lear to name a few.
His work has been showcased at Cannes, DOCUTAH, Newport Beach, and the Film Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles.
Beyond the screen, Andrew is also a painter whose work has been exhibited in New York, including at Sotheby’s.
At Salt’s Big Event, Andrew will share stories from his extraordinary career and how his faith has anchored him in an industry where it's constantly challenged.
